Training Integration
A team connected to an organization with facilities set up doesn't have to book a pitch separately from scheduling its training — picking a facility right there on the training form books it, and the booking shows up on the organization's shared facility calendar automatically. Edit or cancel from either side afterward, and the other side follows along.
Picking a Facility When Scheduling a Training
The facility picker only appears on the training form when the team's own organization has at least one facility that team can book against — a team with no parent organization, or one whose organization hasn't set up facilities yet, never sees the section at all, and the Pitch / location free-text field works exactly as it always has.
When the section is there, picking a venue, a facility and — if the facility is split into zones — a zone books that slot the moment the training is saved, using the same checks as every other booking on the calendar:
- A time inside a closure is blocked outright.
- A time outside the venue's opening hours can be acknowledged and confirmed, same as any other booking.
- An overlapping scheduling conflict shows the same warning banner, with the same "Book anyway" rule for who can override it.
Once a facility is picked, the training's own location is filled in for you as "<venue> – <facility>" and shown read-only in place of the free-text field — the server always derives it from the booking, so there's nothing to keep in sync by hand.
Picking a facility never becomes mandatory just because the section is visible — a training with no facility picked still saves fine with just its free-text location, exactly as before this feature existed.
The Linked Booking
Saving a facility-linked training creates a real booking on the organization's facility calendar, of type Training, carrying the team, the coaches and the date/time the training was given. The two records stay linked to each other from that point on. Whoever can see that facility's calendar — per the calendar access setting — sees this booking exactly like any other: full detail for a privileged viewer or the training's own team, masked as "Reserved" for anyone with less access.
If the linked booking can't actually be created — most commonly because the team already reached its monthly training limit on the Free plan — the training itself is still saved. It simply carries a "Training was not created" notice instead of a facility link, so nothing about the practice session itself is ever lost over a facility-booking hiccup.
Editing and Cancelling — Staying in Sync
Once a training and a booking are linked, either side can be the one that's edited, and the other follows automatically:

A training's own booking is shown read-only inside the booking form itself — a "Training created" badge instead of editable fields — since the training screen is where a facility-linked session is meant to be managed day to day.
A training that has already been marked completed — and its linked booking — is never rescheduled or cancelled by a later sync. Past sessions stay exactly as they happened, same as everywhere else on the facility calendar.
Starting From the Calendar Instead
The same link can be built the other way around too: creating a new booking directly on the facility calendar with type Training and a team selected offers a "Create training session" toggle. Turning it on creates the matching training the moment the booking is saved — the exact same linked pair described above, just started from the calendar rather than from the team's own Trainings screen.
