Player Achievements, XP & Stats
4league rewards real footballing performance — and a few in-app actions — with achievements, XP and levels. Some are handed out automatically by the system when you win a trophy or are voted Player of the Match; others you complete yourself on the Earn XP screen. This guide explains who earns what, how XP and levels differ from skill points, and why social-proof rewards do not land the instant you tap them.
Every achievement is attached to a player or a team identity. Internally each one is marked availableFor 'player', 'team', or 'all' (the social actions, which still attach to your player profile). There is no achievement, XP bar or level for a pure fan, referee or organizer account. To collect anything you must have a player profile (or own a team) — the rewards live on that profile, not on your role.
Where Achievements & XP Live
Open your own player profile. At the top is a two-tab switcher:
-
1
Profile — your player card and skills, plus an experience card showing your current level and XP, and an Earn XP button.
-
2
Achievements — your trophy case: every award you have earned, badged with a multiplier (e.g.
X3) when you have collected it more than twice, and the still-locked ones shown greyed-out.
Teams have the same Achievements view on the team profile — the same list, filtered to the team awards.
The experience card renders on your own profile (and on your account screen), but on the viewed-player page — the read-only profile you see when you tap another player — the experience card is currently not displayed (its render is commented out in the code). You can still browse another player's Achievements tab; you just won't see their level there.
XP & Levels vs. Skill Points — Two Different Things
It is easy to confuse these because some awards grant both. They are not the same:
| XP & Level | Skill Points (attributes) | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A running experience score that drives your level. | Points you spend on your player card's attributes (pace, shooting, etc.). |
| How it changes | XP is added; when it crosses the threshold for the next level, your level goes up automatically. | Skill points are banked, then allocated by you on the Skills screen. |
| Shown as | The level chart / XP bar on the experience card. | A "N skill points" badge and your attribute ratings. |
The level threshold grows with your level — it rises roughly with the square of the level, so the first levels come quickly and later ones take steadily more XP. Adding XP never costs you skill points and vice-versa; an award like Tournament MVP simply happens to grant both at once (300 XP and 50 skill points).
Team awards add XP/level to the team only. Skill points are a player-card concept and are never granted to a team.
Football Awards — Granted Automatically
These are system-granted: you do nothing to claim them. When the underlying event happens — a season finishes, votes are tallied, a trophy is won — 4league writes the achievement onto the player or team and credits the XP (and, for players, the skill points).
Player awards
| Award | When | XP | Skill points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tournament MVP | Each tournament | 300 | 50 |
| Player of the Week | Weekly | 100 | 20 |
| Player of the Match | Per match | 80 | 10 |
| Tournament Top Goalscorer | Each tournament | 100 | 25 |
| Finalist | Each tournament | 100 | 20 |
| Team Player | One-time | 100 | 10 |
Team awards
| Award | When | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Winner | Each tournament | 600 |
| 1st place (podium) | Each tournament | 500 |
| 2nd place (podium) | Each tournament | 300 |
| 3rd place (podium) | Each tournament | 100 |
| Finalist | Each tournament | 200 |
| Verified Players | One-time | 200 |
An organizer closes the league. The champions' team profile lands the Winner badge (+600 XP) and the 1st place podium badge; the season's leading scorer picks up Tournament Top Goalscorer on his player profile (+100 XP, +25 skill points). Nobody tapped anything — the awards appear the next time each profile's Achievements tab is opened.
XP From Voting
Player ratings are a separate, lighter source of XP. The first time you submit your votes for a match's Player of the… ratings, you earn +10 XP and get an "experience earned" notification. Editing votes you have already cast does not pay out again — the bonus is granted once, when your votes for that match are first recorded.
The Earn XP Screen — Actions You Complete Yourself
From the experience card on your profile, tap Earn XP. This screen lists the rewards you can pursue yourself:
- Finish your profile — complete your player card. +5 XP.
- Set your skill points — make your first attribute allocation. +5 XP.
- Share your player card — share your profile link/card. +5 XP.
- Rate us — leave a store review. +20 XP.
- Follow us — follow a 4league social account. +20 XP.
- Tag us — post and tag 4league on social. +2 XP, repeatable daily.
- Watch ads — daily / weekly / monthly viewing rewards (+2 / +20 / +40 XP).
The Earn XP screen is gated: it only opens for the profile owner (or the managing account) — the same permission that lets you edit the player. Viewing another player gives you no way to earn XP for them.
Social-Proof Rewards Are Pending, Not Instant
This is the most common misunderstanding. Rate us, Share your player card, Follow us and Tag us do not credit XP the moment you tap them.
-
1
You open the action, fill in the requested detail (your social handle, the post link, or your review name) and tap Send for verification.
-
2
The reward enters a pending state — it shows a "pending verification" badge and stays locked. No XP yet.
-
3
Once it is verified, the pending flag clears and the XP is credited to your account.
There is a deliberate verification step between submitting a social-proof action and receiving its XP. If you submit and immediately check your balance, it will be unchanged and the item will read pending verification — that is expected, not a bug.
Sharing Your Card to Earn
The Share your player card action is how you complete that reward. On iOS and Android you can share a generated card image; on the web app there is no image-capture share card — the web only copies the profile link. Either way, sharing alone does not grant the XP instantly: you submit it for verification like any other social-proof action above.
How Counts & Stats Stay Current
- Live stats. Goals, assists, cards and the standings that feed the football awards are recomputed from confirmed match events — they are never read from a stale snapshot. Pull to refresh to pull the latest.
- Repeatable awards stack. Awards with a recurring frequency (per match, weekly, each tournament, daily) can be earned again; your Achievements tab shows the running count once you pass two.
- All platforms. The achievements list, experience card and Earn XP screen work on iOS, Android and the web app — with the web's share-card limitation noted above.
For the numbers behind the football awards, see the Statistics & Standings overview and Top Scorers & Statistics. To cast the votes that pay +10 XP, see Vote for Player of the Round. To share your card, see Share a Player Profile.
