Top Scorers & Statistics
The Statistics screen is the at-a-glance dashboard for a competition: league-wide goals, the best attack, defence and form, a best-scorer highlight, the top teams, the top scorers and assists, and the disciplinary card totals — all computed live from confirmed match events. This guide is the deeper how-to on that screen: what each card shows and where tapping it takes you. Opening the Statistics Screen
Statistics live in their own Statistics tab in the bottom navigation while a competition profile is selected. The screen loads the competition's stats when you open it, shows the competition header at the top, and then stacks a series of cards. Pull down to refresh at any time — the numbers are recomputed from confirmed match events, never read from a stale snapshot.
The Statistics screen is read-only and visible to every role — fan, player, team manager, referee and organizer. There is nothing to switch on; whoever can see the competition can see its statistics. The screen renders the same way on iOS, Android and the web app.
Until at least one result has been confirmed there is nothing to aggregate, so the screen shows a small empty state — a flag icon and a "no statistics yet" message — instead of the cards. The cards appear the moment the first match counts.
League Stats
The first block, headed League Stats, is a grid of summary cards rolled up across the whole competition.
- Winner / first place. For a league, or once a season is completed or you are viewing a finished season, a first-place highlight card names the leader. It only appears once the leading team has actually played matches.
- League goals. The total number of goals scored across every confirmed match in the competition.
- Best attack. The team that has scored the most goals, shown with its goals-scored total. The team card is tappable and opens that team's profile.
- Best defence. The team that has conceded the fewest goals per match, shown with its goals-conceded figure. A team must have played a minimum share of the matches to qualify — see the overview for the exact threshold. The team card is tappable.
- Best shape (form). The team in the best recent form, scored from its last five results with recent matches weighted more heavily. The card shows the computed form score and is labelled with how many of the last matches were counted. The team card is tappable.
- Best scorer. A highlight card for the competition's leading scorer — their goal tally, their photo, and their team (the team badge here also opens the team profile).
These two cards only render when the data exists for them. Early in a season — before any team has played enough matches to qualify, or before five results have accumulated — one or both may simply not be shown yet. The layout adapts: if only one is present it spans the full width.
Top Teams
The Top Teams card lists the leading teams, with the table-topper highlighted in a coloured header band beside a medal. For a league competition each row also shows the team's points; other formats show the ranking without a points column. Every team row is tappable and opens that team's profile.
A Go to standings link at the bottom of the card jumps straight to the full Standings screen, where the complete table (and, for cups and groups, the bracket) lives.
Top Scorers
The Top Scorers card ranks players by goals scored. The leader sits in a highlighted header band with their goal count; the next few scorers follow as compact rows (up to four rows in all). Tapping any scorer opens that player's profile page.
When there are four or more scorers, a See all link appears at the foot of the card. It opens the full, scrollable top-scorers ranking on its own screen, where every player in the competition is listed in order with their goal totals — and, where a play-off split exists, the same season switchers described below.
With two rounds left, the top of the scorers card reads 15 goals for the leader and 14 for the chaser. A fan taps See all to scan the full list, then taps the chaser's row to open his profile and check how many matches he has left to close the gap.
Top Assists
Below the scorers, a Top Assists card ranks players by assists, laid out the same way — a highlighted leader followed by a short list, with a See all link to the full ranking. Tapping a player opens their profile.
The assists card is conditional: it is rendered only when at least one assist has been logged in the competition. If match events have recorded goals but no assists, this card simply will not be on the screen — its absence is expected, not a bug.
Cards (Yellow & Red)
The disciplinary card at the foot of the screen shows the competition's total yellow and total red cards, and — alongside it — the team carrying the most cards, with that team's yellow and red counts and its badge. The most-carded team's badge is tappable and opens its profile.
A See all cards button opens a per-team breakdown: every team listed with its yellow and red totals. Tapping a team there drills one level deeper into a per-player card list for that team, and tapping a player opens their profile.
An organizer opens See all cards, spots the team with the worst record at the top, taps it to see which players are accumulating bookings, and taps a player to review their full season before deciding on a fair-play warning.
Regular Season, Play-off & Play-out Views
Leagues that split into a play-off and a play-out get an extra control at the top of the Statistics screen — but only once the organizer has actually started the play-offs. Two pieces appear:

A Regular Season / Play-out / Play-off dropdown — switches every card on the screen between the three phases.

An "Entire Season" toggle — shown once you are on the play-off or play-out tab, it folds the regular-season figures back into the play-off/play-out totals so you can see combined numbers. A short subtitle explains what the combined view includes.
When the play-offs have started, the screen auto-advances to the Play-off tab the first time it loads. This is driven by the competition's state, not a choice you make — you can still switch back to Regular Season or over to Play-out with the dropdown at any time.
Drilling Into Teams & Players
Almost every card on this screen is a doorway, not just a number:
- Team cards — best attack, best defence, best shape, the best scorer's badge, the top-teams rows and the most-carded team — open that team's profile.
- Player rows — the top scorers, the top assists, the full "See all" lists, and the per-player cards breakdown — open that player's profile page.
When you are viewing a past / archived season rather than the live one, the team and player drill-downs are intentionally switched off. Tapping a scorer row, a team card or the best-scorer card does nothing — a silent no-op, with no message explaining why. This is a known gap: the cards still display the archived figures correctly, but they are not navigable.
How the Numbers Stay Current
- Live recompute. Every figure on the screen is recalculated from confirmed match events on each load and pull-to-refresh — confirm a goal, a card or a result and the next refresh already reflects it.
- Competitions only. The Statistics screen aggregates a competition; switch to a competition profile to see it.
- All platforms. The same cards and drill-downs work on iOS, Android and the web app.
