Training Evaluations & Stats

After a training session happens, the coach rates each player who attended against the session's own focus categories. Those ratings power a player's personal development graph, a team-wide training statistics dashboard, and a per-player coach card. This page is the companion to Team Trainings, which covers scheduling and attendance.

The Rating Taxonomy

Every training carries 1–4 focus categories, chosen when the session is scheduled. Each category has its own set of rated attributes:

Category Outfield attributes Goalkeeper attributes
Technical Ball control, Passing, Dribbling, Shooting Shot stopping, Handling, Distribution, Aerial command
Tactical Positioning, Decision-making, Defending Positioning, One-on-one, Sweeping
Physical Work rate, Speed & agility, Strength Reflexes, Speed & agility, Strength
Team Teamwork, Communication, Discipline, Leadership — the same four attributes for every player, goalkeeper or not.

A squad row's position determines which variant it's rated on — a goalkeeper is scored on the goalkeeper attribute set automatically, everyone else on the outfield set. Speed & agility, Strength, and the four Team attributes are shared between both sets, so they're directly comparable across every position.

ℹ️
The rating scale

Every attribute is rated 0–10, or left explicitly unrated. 0 is a real, valid rating ("performed very poorly") — it is never treated the same as "not rated". On player-facing screens, a rating also reads as a qualitative label: 1–2 Very poor · 3–4 Needs improvement · 5 Average · 6 Good · 7 Very good · 8 Excellent · 9 Outstanding · 10 Exceptional.

Evaluating the Squad

From a completed session's detail screen, an admin taps Evaluate Players to open one scrollable list of everyone who confirmed attendance for that training. Every player who declined, never answered, or isn't connected to an account is not a legal evaluation target — only confirmed attendees can be rated.

1

Rate each attribute

For every attribute in the session's own focus categories, the coach picks a 0–10 rating (or leaves it unrated) using inline rating chips, directly in the player's row — no separate screen per player.

2

Add a note (optional, two kinds)

A shared note is later visible to that player as "Player Feedback". A separate private note is coach-only and never reaches the player.

3

Save ratings

One "Save ratings" action at the bottom sends every player whose values actually changed — untouched or unchanged rows aren't re-sent. Saving the very first player's evaluation for a session is also what auto-completes the training (see Editing, Cancelling & Auto-Complete).

A coach can return to a completed session and edit ratings later — nothing about the evaluation screen locks once the session is marked completed. A cancelled session, on the other hand, can never accept a new evaluation; its past evaluations (if any exist from before it was cancelled) stay viewable read-only.

What a Player Sees

Coach ratings are shown differently depending on who's looking:

Viewer What they see
Team admin / coach Every player's full ratings and notes, including the private note.
The rated player, on their own session page Their own ratings, shown as the qualitative label per attribute (not the raw number) plus the shared "Player Feedback" note — never the private note.
A teammate Roster context only (who was confirmed, who's been evaluated) — never another player's individual ratings or notes.

On a player's own statistics page, the team-development summary card does show the numeric category average alongside the qualitative label — that summary is the player's own aggregate across every session, not a single evaluator's raw per-attribute number.

The Player Development Graph

A "Team Development" section on the player's statistics page (scoped to one team at a time) shows how their coach ratings have moved over time:

  • Category summary cards — one per category the player has been rated on, each showing the current average, its qualitative label, and a trend arrow (up / down / no change) versus the immediately previous session. Tapping a card jumps straight to that category on the graph below.
  • The graph itself — a line chart selectable between Overall and each of the 4 categories, with a second-level attribute picker underneath each category tab.
  • Training history list — every past session, most recent first, with a compact badge per rated category. Older pages load via a "Load more" button.
💡
A trend needs two sessions

A trend arrow only ever appears once at least two evaluations exist for that category — with zero or one session on file, the graph shows "flat"/"no data" rather than guessing a direction.

A team a player has since left still keeps its development graph — the section stays fully readable, marked with an "archived" badge, rather than disappearing the moment the player moves teams.

Per-Session Detail & the PRO Gate

Tapping any row in the training history (or any point on the graph) opens that one session's full detail — every rated attribute in its category, plus the player's own shared coach note if one was left.

⚠️
Per-session detail is PRO-gated

Opening a specific training's full detail requires the viewing player's own account to be on an active PRO plan — not the team's plan, not the coach's plan. A Free-plan player still sees the category summary cards, the graph, and the history list; only the drill-down into one session's individual attribute breakdown is locked, with a small lock icon hinting at it before the tap.

Team Training Statistics

The team's Statistics tab has its own "Trainings" section, visible to squad members (a non-member gets a members-only notice instead):

Block What it shows
Overview Trainings this month, trainings this season, average attendance %, and the average number of players per session.
Attendance ranking Top 3 players by attendance rate, with a "see all players" link to the full ranked list.
Most improved Players with the largest positive rating change over the selected window (this season / last 30 days / last 90 days).
Declining trend The same idea in the negative direction — visible to team admins only.
Category leaders Top-rated players per category and attribute, once a minimum number of evaluations exists.

Scenario: David checks his season so far

After a handful of Tuesday sessions, David opens his player profile and taps into FC Thunder's Team Development card. His Technical average has climbed from 6 to 7 with an upward trend arrow; he taps the card to jump to the graph, switches to the Physical tab, and picks the Strength attribute chip to see that specific line. He's on the Free plan, so tapping into one specific session's full breakdown shows the PRO upsell instead of the detail — the summary card and the graph itself stayed fully visible the whole time.
