Free Plan
The Free plan is permanent — it never expires. It is designed for small groups testing 4league or running a single small competition.
What you get
- 1 competition
- Up to 2 teams in the competition
- Up to 20 players per team
- 1 Community / Friends group (free tier allows exactly one)
- 1 season of stats (current season only)
- Core match management features (schedule, score entry, standings)
- Live score mode
Federation, Association, and Club organizations cannot be created on the Free plan. Free accounts can only own a single Community / Friends group. See Organization Subscription Rules for the full breakdown.
A group of friends creates 1 competition with 6 teams. Wait — the free plan only allows 2 teams. This is a case where upgrading to PRO Player is worthwhile. For a truly small group (2 teams, say a single ongoing rivalry), the Free plan covers everything at no cost.
The Free plan never expires. Your data is safe. You can upgrade at any time without losing any existing competition data.
PRO Player Plan
The PRO Player plan is designed for organizers running a single competition who need more teams, advanced scheduling, and multi-season stats.
What you get
- From 5 EUR/month
- 1 competition
- Unlimited teams in the competition
- Unlimited players per team
- All scheduling algorithms including the Berger round-robin generator
- Multiple seasons with full stats archives
- Manage up to 2 teams as a team manager
- 14-day free trial available
An organizer runs a weekly 5v5 indoor league with 8 teams. He upgrades to PRO Player to access the Berger scheduling algorithm (which guarantees balanced home/away distribution) and to keep stats archived across multiple seasons. The upgrade costs less than a match ball per month.
PRO Plan
The PRO plan is the right choice for football associations managing multiple competitions under a single umbrella organization.
What you get
- From 12 EUR/month
- Create official organizations — Federation, Association, or Club (any combination, up to the 10-organization soft cap)
- Additional Community / Friends groups beyond the free one
- Up to 10 competitions
- Hierarchical leagues with promotion and relegation
- Season management
- Organization-wide statistics
- All PRO Player features
- 14-day free trial available
A county football association upgrades to PRO to manage 10 different age-group leagues (U11, U13, U15, U17, Senior Men, Senior Women, etc.) under one organization. Promotion and relegation between Division 1 and Division 2 of the senior league is automated at the end of each season.
Enterprise Plan
The Enterprise plan is for national federations and large regional bodies managing hundreds of competitions and thousands of players.
What you get
- Custom pricing — contact the 4league team
- Up to 10 organizations of any type (Federation, Association, Club, or Community)
- Up to 100 competitions
- Transfer windows
- Player registration & eligibility tracking
- Bulk player operations
- Dedicated account manager
- Custom onboarding and data migration support
- All PRO features
A national football federation contacts 4league for an Enterprise plan to manage all regional associations, 100+ leagues, and tens of thousands of players across the country. The Enterprise team provides a tailored onboarding package and a dedicated contact for ongoing support.
To discuss Enterprise pricing and requirements, visit the 4league website and use the contact form, or email the team directly.
Organization Subscription Rules
4league supports four organization types, each with different subscription requirements. The rules below decide who can create a new organization. Existing organizations are always accessible — see "Downgrade behavior" below.
| Organization Type | Description | Required Plan to Create |
|---|---|---|
| Federation | National or supra-regional governing body, manages affiliated clubs, official rules, and licensing. | PRO or Enterprise |
| Association | Regional organizer running affiliated leagues with local rules and disciplinary commissions. | PRO or Enterprise |
| Club | Football club with multiple teams, registered players, staff, and federation links. | PRO or Enterprise |
| Community / Friends Group | Casual independent group — single team, weekly pickup matches, social play. | Free for the first one; PRO required for additional groups. |
10-organization soft cap
Every account is capped at 10 organizations total, regardless of plan tier or organization type. This limit applies whether you own one Federation and nine Clubs, ten Community groups, or any other mix. The cap exists to keep your dashboard manageable — most organizers operate one or two organizations.
Contact the 4league team via the contact form on the main site. The cap can be raised on a case-by-case basis for large federations and Enterprise customers.
Downgrade behavior
The PRO requirement gates creation only. If you create a Federation, Association, or Club on PRO and later cancel your subscription — or if a teammate who was never on PRO becomes a member of an existing official organization — full access continues:
- You can still view the organization, its competitions, members, players, and stats.
- You can still edit the organization, run matches, manage members, and update settings.
- What you cannot do on a free plan is create a new Federation, Association, or Club, or add a second Community group.
Cancelling PRO does not delete your organizations. To create a new official organization in the future, simply re-upgrade — your existing data and members are unaffected.
Organization type is permanent
The type you pick when creating an organization (Federation, Association, Club, or Community) cannot be changed afterwards. The available features, member roles, and registration flows differ between types, so the choice is locked at creation time.
If you pick the wrong type, you will need to create a new organization of the correct type and migrate competitions and members manually. Read each type's description in the organization creation guide before tapping Continue.
A coach on the Free plan tries to create a "Club" organization for his amateur side. The app shows a PRO upgrade prompt. He upgrades, creates the club, and adds his teams. Six months later he cancels PRO to save costs in the off-season — the club, all teams, registrations, and stats remain fully editable. When the new season starts and he wants to spin up a sister Association for the new region, he re-upgrades to PRO.
A group of 12 friends plays 5-a-side every Wednesday. The organiser creates a free Community / Friends group, invites everyone, and tracks goals and assists each week. He never needs PRO — the free Community group is permanent and supports a single team for casual play. If he ever wants a second group (for a new neighbourhood squad, say), that one would require PRO.
Upgrading Your Plan
Open Account settings
Tap your profile avatar in the top-right corner, then tap "Account".
Tap "Upgrade Plan"
The plan comparison screen shows all available tiers and their features.
Select a plan
Choose monthly or annual billing. Annual billing typically offers a 2-month discount.
Enter payment details
Payment is handled securely via Stripe. Enter your card details. Your plan upgrades immediately.
An organizer's free competition is running well with 2 teams. He wants to expand to an 8-team league for the new season. When he tries to add a 3rd team, the app shows an upgrade prompt. He taps "Upgrade", selects PRO Player, chooses monthly billing, and enters his card details. The new teams are added within the same session.
Starting a Trial
PRO Player and PRO plans both offer a 14-day free trial. All paid features are unlocked immediately. No charge is made until the trial period ends.
Select a paid plan
From the upgrade screen, choose PRO Player or PRO.
Tap "Start Free Trial"
You will be asked to enter a payment method, but you will not be charged during the 14-day period.
Use all features
All PRO features are available immediately. A countdown in the Account screen shows remaining trial days.
Auto-convert or cancel
At the end of 14 days, your plan converts to paid automatically. Cancel any time before the trial ends to avoid a charge.
Before committing to a paid plan, an organizer starts a 14-day free trial of PRO. All PRO features are unlocked immediately. He runs a full test season — generates a Berger schedule, sets up promotion/relegation rules, and archives the season. Satisfied, he allows the trial to convert. His competition data is preserved throughout.
You can cancel the trial at any time from Account > Manage Subscription. Your plan reverts to Free and no charge is made.
Reactivating Expired Competitions
When a paid subscription expires or is cancelled, the competition does not disappear — it enters a read-only state. All historical data, standings, and statistics remain intact and viewable by all users.
What happens when a subscription expires
- The competition becomes read-only. No new matches can be added or edited.
- All past data (standings, stats, match history, seasons) remains visible to all followers.
- The organizer sees a prominent "Reactivate" banner at the top of the competition screen.
How to reactivate
Open the expired competition
The competition is still accessible, marked as inactive.
Tap "Reactivate"
You will be taken to the plan selection screen.
Select a plan and pay
Choose the appropriate plan and complete payment. Full access is restored immediately.
An organizer's annual PRO Player subscription expires in January while he is away. When he returns to set up the new season in February, the competition is read-only. All previous seasons' data is still there. He taps "Reactivate", selects the annual PRO Player plan, and pays. Full access is restored in seconds and he can start the new season immediately.
While a competition is in read-only mode, connected players and team managers also cannot add events. Make sure to reactivate before your new season begins.
