Delete your account
You can delete your 4league account at any time, from the app or by email. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to your data today.
How to delete your account in the app
1. Open the app:
Open the 4league app on your phone, or the web app at web.4league.app, and log in.
2. Go to Account → Your Profile:
Scroll to "Delete Account" and type the confirmation text shown on the screen.
3. Confirm:
Tap "Delete Account". You are logged out and your account is deleted straight away. Please read below what is deleted and what is kept.
What is deleted
- Your account: your name, email address, phone number, login details and app settings.
- Your access rights as an organizer or administrator of other people's tournaments, teams and organizations.
- The calendar links you created for your own and your teams' schedules.
What is kept today, and why
Football is played in teams, so some data is part of other people's history. Today, deleting your account does not remove the following:
- Tournaments and teams you created are switched off (made inactive) and no longer belong to anyone, but they stay in our database with their matches and the players in them.
- Your player entries in teams and tournaments (name, photo, number, position, birth date or ID number if a club added them, and your match statistics) are disconnected from your account but stay in those teams' and tournaments' history.
- Documents a club stored about you (for example a medical certificate or ID document) stay with the club that requested them.
- Messages, votes, training ratings and feedback, photos and videos you sent or that were uploaded about you.
- Payment and subscription records, which we must keep for accounting and tax purposes. Under Romanian accounting law (Law no. 82/1991), accounting documents are kept for 5 years from 1 July of the year after the financial year in which they were created.
- Analytics and crash data already sent to Google Analytics for Firebase and Sentry, until it expires under those services' retention settings.
Asking us to delete more, or deleting without the app
If you cannot use the app, or you want us to delete or anonymise the data listed above (for example your name and photo in a team's history, your messages or a document), email 4league.app@gmail.com from the email address of your account, or tell us how we can confirm it is you. Say what you want deleted. We reply within one month. We may keep data only where the law requires it (such as accounting records) or where we need it to deal with a legal claim, and we will tell you if that is the case.
If a club, coach or tournament organizer added you as a player, you can also ask them to remove you from their team or tournament.
